Concentric3 Signs Agreement with Supply Chain Council

HOUSTON – April 2011 – Concentric3 announced today that an agreement has been signed to become Director of the Supply Chain Council’s Japan chapter. This partnership will be responsible for building the chapter as a best in class organization supporting supply chain processes through increased membership, expanded training, as well as holding collaborative events to bring members and non-members together to advance supply chain strategies and performances.

Concentric3’s Jonathan Winfiele noted that “this contract gives Concentric3 the ability to provide consulting expertise to our Japanese friends on how to use the SCOR framework within their organizations. With the recent catastrophes in Japan, companies are realizing more than ever the need to have clearly defined supply chain strategies that enable continuous operations”. Winfiele went on to say that “this contract will enable the Supply Chain Council to have a better presence in Japan, while working to establish their global standard certification program for Supply Chain executives, operational staff and university students”.

About Supply Chain Council: Supply Chain Council (SCC) is a global nonprofit organization whose methodology, diagnostic, and benchmarking tools help nearly a thousand organizations make dramatic and rapid improvements in supply chain processes. SCC has established the supply chain world’s most widely accepted framework for evaluating and comparing supply chain activities and their performance. The framework – the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR®) model – lets organizations quickly determine and compare the performance of supply chain and related operations within their company or against other organizations. SCC continually advances its tools and educates members about how organizations are capitalizing on those tools. By using its tools, SCC members are able to rapidly overcome the first difficult step in supply chain improvement: determining what processes to improve first and how much to improve them.
